What “DAO” means here, and what it doesn't
The name is a holdover from how principals partnered early on. It describes the internal arrangement, not the client-facing one. On the inside, the principals hold each other accountable as peers. On your engagement, one of us holds accountability alone.
No crypto tokens. No decentralized governance. No collective that decides who picks up your project. One principal on day one, same principal through delivery.
On your first call, one of the principals is on the line. Whoever takes that call owns your engagement from that point forward. Contracts run through US, UAE, or Armenian entity of your choice. Invoicing and communication run one-to-one with your principal.
How the firm is structured

FiRA DAO operates as three principals sharing legal, operational, and delivery infrastructure. Each principal leads their own engagements. The firm scales by adding principals, not by adding account managers, assistants, PMs or HR department.
For each engagement, your principal assembles a delivery team suited to your stack. That team stays behind your principal throughout the work. You never have to manage them, coordinate them, or know their names. Your relationship is with your principal and with FiRA DAO as the contracting entity. One contract, one invoice, one line of accountability.
This model creates these outcomes:

Contracts run through FiRA DAO as a single legal entity. One contract, one invoice, one counterparty. Delivery-team members sign NDAs and carry the same responsibilities as employees would. Compensation arrangements are internal. Legal protection and delivery accountability are yours.
Why This Structure Matters For Complex Builds
Each principal owns the outcomes of the engagements he leads. Along with senior engineers, architects, designers, QAs and other ICs they execute.
Most agencies optimize for utilization and margin. Developers rotate based on availability. Sales hands off to delivery. Throughput wins over outcomes. That works for straightforward projects. It breaks when you're building platforms in regulated industries, navigating complex integrations, or making technical decisions that affect the business model.
FiRA DAO works primarily with bootstrapped founders and profitable companies building platforms where technical decisions drive business outcomes. You need a principal who has seen the patterns before. Not a delivery lead following tickets, not an account manager translating for you. Someone who scopes the work, owns the architecture calls, and stays on through the hard parts.
To each principal, if the project scope demands, a group of senior engineers will join who have navigated similar complexity in past work. The group stays together across engagements. Junior-developer rotation and throughput optimization are not what we do.
